Do we have contracts with our clients?

Yes. Whether it is a formal engagement agreement or an arrangement or proposal letter, we set out the scope of our work to be performed in writing and ask our clients to approve it before we begin any work.

How are we compensated?

Our services are billed on a flat fee or on an hourly basis. For most of our criminal law and some of our business law and family law, we will charge a flat fee that is dependent on the work to be done. For our trial law and some of our business law, we will bill by the hour, in fifteen (15) minute increments. In addition, we require retainers in most matters, whether they are billed as a flat fee or hourly, which may be an advance payment of a portion of a flat fee or a retainer to secure future hourly fees.

What are our billing practices?

We send bills during the first few days of each month, and we ask that they be paid in full by the 15th day of each month. Our bills will indicate the work performed, any expenses incurred, and any balance due.

How can our bills be paid?

We accept checks, cash, cashiers checks and money orders (please contact us for more information).
